Our Strada was lying dormant since 1991 being dry stored until our ownership in 2017 having only covered 46k miles from new.
The condition of the paintwork was dull, hazy, heavily oxidised, swirled and full of scratches. However, body and chassis were remarkably solid, showing no rust or corrosion albeit a tiny bit of surface bubbling was visible at the top of the windscreen but nothing that stood out as an immediate problem.
The original 2l twin-cam engine had just gone through a complete rebuild by someone we knew and trusted and it just needed putting back in the car. Everything was present with the car, including the super rare glove box torch and so work began on getting this back to a respectable condition.
