The Hood

The convertible hood itself was in great condition, showing no signs of wear and tear but quite heavily ridden with dirt as well as mould patches on the inside. It’s likely the hood would have been replaced in it’s time as I’d be very surprised if the original had made it through all these years, but with only 75,000Kms (<50,000 miles) on the clock, you never know! The hood was steam cleaned inside and out to kill the residing bacteria before being treated with a specific fabric shampoo which was worked into the fabric in small sections, inside and out, leaving a deep, black colour as it was originally intended.
